Trend micro is not updating

I'm not sure whether or when Trend Micro will be updating to signed versions of its extensions.

While rendering a Share Point site or list you may receive a 304 or a server error in Application / In ULS you will see a message similar to: Cannot make a cache safe URL for "15/1033/initstrings.js", file not found.

Please verify that the file exists under the layouts directory.

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste xpin and pause while the list is filtered (3) Double-click the xpinstall.signatures.required preference to switch it from true to false -- note that this is for Firefox 43-45 only Read this answer in context Hi AD.

B, Firefox 43 requires that extensions be digitally signed by Mozilla.

After updating your Trend Micro definition to pattern 12.941.00 the following file in Share Point will be quarantined because the antivirus Software incorrectly identifies that this files contains JS_NEMUCOD.

SMAA15: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\template\layouts\1033\

Depending on how the antivirus software is configured (quarantine or delete), it might also be required to replace the affected files if they were deleted.

In case that Trend Micro anti virus is used on client machines, the pattern on the client machines also has to be updated to ensure that the file is not quarantined when browing to a Share Point site.

If updating doesn't help, you could make a temporary global exception to the signing requirement.

Unfortunately, there's currently no way to only make an exception for specific extensions and therefore you need to be vigilant about bad add-ons creeping in if you do this.

Thank you for choosing Trend Micro to protect your PC.
